Routing and Switching Fundamentals Part 2 – ICND (K171)
If you want to take your IT skills to the next level and prove you’ve got what it takes, this course is your logical next step from Part 1 CCENT. You’ll learn how to work with point-to-point connections and frame relay, together with how to configure and troubleshoot VLAN and interswitch communications. What’s more, you’ll learn how to tackle working with various routing methods and use trace methods to understand all of the various implementations available to you. The final part of the course focuses on the security aspect and how to protect your networks.
Aims & Objectives
Routing and Switching Fundamentals Part 2 ICND - Interconnecting Cisco Networking Devices is designed to get you ready to take your Cisco ICND 640-816 exam*.

The course is designed to give you all the knowledge that you need to go on to become a Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician.
This course will take around 10 hours to complete.
This course can be studied online. This means, you have the flexibility to study our Routing and Switching Fundamentals Part 2 - ICND course:
- In centre, with our friendly course advisors available for support and guidance as and when you need it.
- At home or from work – with support via email or telephone during working hours.
- On a blended mix – in-centre for the modules you need help with, at home or from work for those you are gliding through.
Once you've decided to go ahead, all you'll need to do is contact BPTC and we will arrange for you to have an induction to show you around the system and talk you through how our online training works. After this, you can learn in your own time and at your own speed, but with the knowledge you have support at hand if required
